New Jams: “I Wonder What’s Inside Your Butthole”

A new track is sweeping the Twitter soundwaves, from a young new artist named Jolee, which asks the age old question we’ve all contemplated:

What is inside your butthole?

Is it astronauts? Aliens? It’s hard to say. One thing is for certain, this track has opened up a conversation that was shunned into silence by society for too long.

The question itself has inspired others to amplify the message through a series of covers.

This rock cover hearkens back to a time when our bowels had a heavy load as it mixes the Foo Fighters (Poo Fighters?) “Everlong”

For those who prefer to be spoken to in a softer style, this cover by Tim Williams Band

Or this soft, heartfelt cover that reminds us of Sarah McLachlan in the 90’s.

Or this smooth piano version

Fans of dark jazz clubs have been yearning to know for years, and finally they have a voice to rally around with this cover.

Vance Gilbert has always wanted to know, and he’s channeling the sounds of the south to ask the question.

I feel like we’re capturing a piece of Deidre L Hall’s soul as we listen to her wonder out loud.

For those who communicate on the dance floor, you’ll appreciate the beats of Ray Wonder (the favorite of this writer)

For the punk fans, there has been a tidal wave of covers including from Nick Anderson and The Skinny Lovers,

This Blink-182 inspired bump from Anndy Negative.

Or this one that was recorded in a closet with a bunch of clones.

And if you’re looking for one for your nightmares, don’t miss Chelsea Strickland’s metal version.

And finally, here’s the studio version of the original by Jolee herself.
